Tea for 2…and 6-12 months, and 12-18 months…

Addison will be sporting this for the summer!

Addison will be sporting this for the summer!

I have found with kids clothes that either they are expensive (I have a hard time justifying a $75 shirt that’s going to get spilled on, painted on and yes, probably thrown up on) or they’re cheap, not only in dollars but in manufacturing (meaning fading after one washing or, as in the case of a Circo bib I once bought at Target, causing a rash on poor Austin’s neck). Yes, you can do well at department store sales and certainly the Gap and Old Navy are reliable standbys, but Daily Tea stands out for its great design, quality construction and key comfort. I also love that they stick with a consistent color palette, so you can mix and match and come up with all kinds of outfit combinations. Their dresses layer over leggings so even a little tomboy can feel at home in the clothes. And because they’re knit and have elastic waists, they fit for a long time. Addison is wearing some of her older leggings this summer as capris, and she looks great! They make lines for both boys and girls; I find it great for littler boys while the girls collection seems to be appropriate past the toddler years as well. Makes a great baby gift! (Most Daily Tea items top out at $30. There is a higher priced Tea collection (also nice), so make sure you’re checking out Daily Tea. Bloomingdales and Buy Buy Baby carries the line up to 24 months; Giggle carries all sizes. Teacollection.com also has the full collection, up to 8 years.)

Late Night Part 2

Well in yesterday’s post I predicted Letterman would overtake Conan in the ratings in the next week. It only took one night! Yes, last night The Late Show on CBS earned a 3.4 share and The Tonight Show on NBC earned a 2.9. Go Dave! And, if you are a regular reader, you’ll recall that I also speculated that most celebs were on Team Dave. Well, last night’s guest Julia Roberts pretty much confirmed it with this after one of Letterman’s quips, “You are so much funnier than other people who talk at this time of the evening.” Jay Leno must be loving this.

Don Draper Where Art Thou

In other TV news, AMC is set to premiere Mad Men on Sunday night, August 16th. That might seem far away, but for those of you who haven’t been watching this spectacular piece of television (and trust me, I don’t say that lightly), you have time to watch seasons one and two before the new one begins. This show is so well done — it’s like a mini-movie every week. Highly recommended.

Well, apparently George Michael joined Ms. Beyonce (that’s Mrs. Jay-Z to you) on stage in London last night. You might not care, but I do so here it is:

This week is flying by because I’m really busy — tomorrow is Austin’s graduation from nursery school! So freakin’ cute. He told us he’s been practicing their song every day but he’s not supposed to sing it at home so it’s a surprise.

Hope you’re well!
